Candie Vanderpol

Candie has been a member of Lynden Nazarene for about 3 years. She’s been married to Larry for 31 years and has been blessed with four wonderful children: Mandi Shultz (married to Terry, 5 children, living in Kennewick), Brady (married to Brandy Jo, living in Seattle and serving with the US Coast Guard in Cuba), Cody (attends Seattle Pacific University), and Chelsi (sophomore at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA).

Candie is delighted to be ministering in the area of Youth – she strongly feels that our youth are the promise of the future and it is her desire to work within the framework of the church to encourage and inspire these young people to faith and enthusiasm for the Lord. Her passion has always been for families - she is a self proclaimed Focus on the Family and Family Life Today groupie. The family is the model that God instituted to point us to Him. She also loves being on the Worship Team - working with the other team members has blessed her own worship experience.

Candie works with her husband Larry with Aflac Insurance out of their home office doing administrative work and filing claims. Taking care of the office, the house, the yard and keeping track of four kids keeps her pretty busy! In her spare time Candie likes to quilt, read, and scrapbook. She and Larry both like to do yard work, geocache and spend time with their children.
